The existing 1970’s bungalow is soon to be extended to the front to provide additional sleeping accommodation and to the rear to create a large open plan living space. The existing internal layout of the property has been altered to make better use of the space available.
At the front, a gable end extension mirroring the shape of the existing balances the front entrance of the house and a new flat roof entrance hallway and porch has been positioned centrally to connect the two pitched structures.
The rear of the house presented an opportunity to create a large asymmetrical extension with vaulted ceiling and the entire property has been refinished in cedar weatherboarding and white render to achieve a modern aesthetic.
The project is due to commence in 2022.
